Eat, Drink, And Be BEARY At This New Diner In Sugar Land

Shout out to all my comfort food-loving people out there: A new diner recently opened in Sugar Land, and I’m not ashamed to say that I’ve already visited twice... and BOTH times it was amazing!

Black Bear Diner is located on University Boulevard, and offers a wide selection of home-style meals, breakfast food and desserts. My friends and I first visited Black Bear Diner for brunch a few weeks ago to celebrate Galentine’s Day, and we’re so happy we chose to go here! The moment you walk in, it feels like you’re transported to a log cabin in the woods. The woodsy decor and bear-themed accents fill the walls, making it feel extra cozy. This diner is family-friendly and perfect for brunch dates with your friends!

Once we were settled at our booth, we were given our menus, which look like old-fashioned newspapers. We were surprised at how many items are on the menu... the list seemed to go on forever! They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, and have a wide selection of desserts.

I ordered the avocado toast, which is served on a multigrain Stirato roll, with a side of fruit. It was DELICIOUS! The portions were giant, so there were plenty of leftovers to take home.

One of my friends ordered the Bear’s Choice, where she chose to have a waffle, two eggs and hash browns. My other friend ordered the classic two-egg combo with chicken apple sausage, hash browns and a (giant) biscuit. Both of them enjoyed their meals, and they also had plenty of leftovers. You get your money’s worth with these meals! We were joking about the biscuit that came with my friend’s meal because it was probably the biggest biscuit we’ve ever seen.... Black Bear Diner doesn’t play!

We were too full to try any desserts, but I definitely want to go back, and try their chocolate cream pie and the Sugar Bear’s Lava Cake.

Their menu also includes items such a chicken fried steak (our waitress said this is her favorite!), omelettes, cinnamon roll French toast (I HAVE to try this next time), burgers, sandwiches, salads and chicken pot pie... just to name a few.

Before you leave, you can check out their gift shop area, where they have cute bear-themed gifts and toys. When I visited a second time with my family, my niece was excited to pick out a stuffed animal bear and bear house shoes. They also have a fun area outside with three wooden bears, where you can snap some pictures.

Black Bear Diner is located at 13590 University Boulevard #100, Sugar Land, Texas, 77479. They serve breakfast all day and are open everyday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Check out their whole menu here. Be sure to stop by, grab a yummy meal, and snap a fun picture with the bears!
