State Fare Kitchen & Bar opened its doors to the public on Wednesday, July 8th, and their menu is filled with delicious, southern cuisine. This is State Fare’s second location in the Houston area, and I’ve heard so many great things about their food.
Their menu includes dishes such as “Texas Red” Beef Chili Frito Pie, Fried Green Tomatoes, Dill Pickle Dip, Sabine Pass Gumbo, H-Town Hot Fried Chicken, Harding’s Fried Catfish, Kuykendahl Burger, State Fare Po’ Boys, So'O's (Southern Fried Oreos), and the list goes on!
I’m excited to try the Pesto Grilled Cheese, 610 Traffic Jam S'mores and the Mason Jar Banana Puddin’! The Southern Farm Board also sounds amazing— it’s filled with smoked bacon deviled eggs, Texas cheeses, jalapeño sausage and seasoned crackers.
They serve lunch and dinner all week long, as well as weekend brunch. There’s also a late night menu from 9:30 p.m. to close on Fridays and Saturdays. Happy Hour is Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m.
If you don’t feel like dining inside the restaurant, there’s always the option of Family Meal Deals. You can order your favorite meals to-go, and enjoy them from the comfort of your home! They offer curbside pick-up, to-go and delivery options. Check out the full Family Fare menu here. If you’d like to check out their whole menu, visit their website for all the details.
State Fare is located at 15930 City Walk, Sugar Land, TX 77479. They’re open Monday through Thursday, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. You can also check out their other location in Memorial City at 947 Gessner, Ste.
